1 Timothy 6:6 KJV
But godliness with contentment is great gain.

A person who believes in Christ and lives his faith accordingly has no wants. He seeks no opportunity to take advantage of or manipulate his fellowmen. Neither is he exposed to the temptations and snares into which “the love of money” often lures its owners. His daily needs are obtained from God’s abundant storehouse. He is content with adequate food, clothing and shelter, for he knows that the excesses of the rich only bring misery upon them. Besides, he is free from the cares and anxieties that continually harass the ungodly. Therefore, the Christian is more at ease with what God allows him, than the covetous can ever hope to be with all their ill-gotten gain. Godliness and contentment bring peace and happiness to the soul. What more can one want?

Proverbs 15:16 KJV
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.
