Because God is eternal, He lives outside of time and controls it. He controls the changing seasons and history as well as the chronology of the lives of His people. The Bible says, “It is appointed for men to die once” (Hebrews 9:27). God knows the day of your birth. He knows the day of your death long before it happens. He is in control of the times and the seasons of our lives. The Bible says, “My times are in Your hand” (Psalm 31:15).
That gives us confidence in tomorrow because, as the old saying goes, “We don’t know what the future holds, but we know Who holds the future, and we know He holds our hand.”
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. Psalm 139:16
